Injustice 2 Fighter Pack 2
Welcome back nerds,
As the title suggests we will be talking about the next wave of dlc coming for Injustice 2. For those who are unfamiliar or have a life and don't follow fighting games; NetherRealms has announced the next three characters you will be able to use to beat the shit out of all of your least favourite DC characters.
Included in FP2 (Fighter Pack 2) are as follows:
HELLBOY
HELL YES! (See what I did there) I know, I know. That's way too much energy for a guest character, understood. But no one can deny how completely badass Hellboy is. Whether you fell in love with Ron Pearlman's adaptation, or were a fan of the comics (which I have been diving back into these past month or so). Hellboy is just such a fun and dark character. I think the only way to make this announcement better would of been to let Ron Pearlman voice the iconic Paranormal Detective as a fun swan song for his adaptation.
Black Manta
Raiden
Of Mortal Kombat fame. Surprise, NetherRealms added another character to the game from their original franchise. This section might be a little lengthy. This seems to have caused an uproar across the interwebs primarily due to the fact that we already have a MK guest character in the game that was introduced in the last Fighter Pack, SubZero. Many people are arguing that there are now too many guest characters in the game where there are so many DC characters on peoples wish lists.
This pack has two guest characters with Hellboy being included. I agree that two MK characters are a little much when you could of added one of dozens of much wanted characters. The way I see it is this, we don't see any DC characters making their way into the MK universe as DLC paid characters, so why bring MK over into DC? I understand that Scorpion was a very popular character in the first Injustice game and sold very well. So, on that logic alone I understand why they would bring in SubZero. But Raiden? Even for MK characters he is pretty low on the list of guests that I would want from that series. I wouldn't be as upset if they added Kung Lou or Lu Kang.
But I have a feeling that is just personal preference. Needless to say, Hellboy I don't think was an outrage, and possibly the most exciting addition to this DLC is that we are introducing some dream match ups that would never normally happen in the DC universe by bring in Dark Horse comics in the mix. If we are going to have guest characters in a comics book fighting game, it's nice to see other comic books characters from other companies. It makes me feel like we have a chance of seeing Superman go toe to toe with the likes of Sandman of Vertigo fame.
I am still very excited to play as at least 2/3rds of the announced FP2. I for one am a little glad I didn't purchase the Ultimate Edition of the game. I know that might seem negative but I still plan on spending money on the game. I personally do not want to play as Raiden but I am ecstatic for both Hellboy and Black Manta. And provided that there are no more MK additions, I will be buying all of FP3 when it gets announced.
What do you think? Do you disagree, and you can't wait for the addition of Raiden? Do you want more MK crossovers?
There is absolutely a conversation here, let me know your opinion!

Black Manta
The long awaited addition to the roster and nemesis to DC hero Aquaman. Black Manta can already be seen in the game itself during the Atlantis Stage transition where he will lay a beat down on you before throwing you back into a room where you will continue to get beaten on by your actual opponent. Manta has been a much requested character since the first game, so it is very exciting to see him finally enter into the arena and wipe the floor with some of our favourite DC icons. Also I am most interested to see what some of his gear sets will look like.
